Traditional divorce and family law battles are expensive, emotionally draining, and traumatic for children.

Court dates drag on for months.

Legal fees spiral into the tens of thousands and often result in bakrupcty and financial ruin.

Your children learn to fight with their spouse and loved-ones through your own demonstration in the court.

A stranger chooses what is best for you and your children based on mere minutes of argument and limited evidence. Your family's most intimate decisions are made for you.

The average contested divorce costs $30,000-$70,000 PER PERSON and takes 1-2 years to finalize.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

Divorce differently! Modify kindly.

Finish your legal case in as little as eight weeks.

Cap your fees at a fraction of the cost of litigation.

Teach your children cooperation and kindness even in conflict. Save them from the trauma of the courts!

Maintain your family's privacy and aboslute right to choose what is best for you and your children without state interference.

💡 Most courts require mediation anyway, so you are not out anything by trying to resolve your case privately first before you hire an attorney.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As someone who isn't religious, I was initially hesitant about working with a 'Christian' mediation service. But Barrett made it clear from day one that all families are welcome. He treated us with complete respect and helped us reach a fair custody agreement in just 5 weeks. Highly recommend.

Barrett's experience as a prosecutor and family lawyer meant he understood both sides of our situation. But his personal experience as a divorced co-parent is what really set him apart. He 'got it' in a way our attorneys never did. We saved over $40,000 and reached an agreement we both feel good about.

How Our Mediation Process Works

We've designed a clear, straightforward process that removes the mystery and stress from family law matters.

1

Free Consultation

We start with a no-obligation phone consultation to help you understand our process and answer any questions you may have. We'll explain how mediation works, answer your questions, and help you determine if our process is right for your case. If your spouse or partner is open to mediation, we'll coordinate how to begin the process with them.

2

Onboarding & Commitment

Once both parties agree to move forward, we'll handle all necessary paperwork and agreements. We will execute an agreement with each other. That agreement is case-specific and designed for your particular situation, but there are three common components.

  1. You agree to remain open to all solutions, including reconciliation. We will never push you to reconcile, but that is a solution and we must remain open to it when God provides a path for it.
  2. You agree to put God and your children (if applicable) first... before yourself.
  3. You agree to let the Mediator to decide when and if we reach an impasse and the mediation should be terminated. Until then, you agree work hard and trust the process.
3

Onboarding & Information Gathering

Our certified mediator meets individually with each person to get to know you and hear your perspective or side of the conflict. We identify the key issues that need resolution. We gather the necessary documentation and evidence required to build trust and collaboration between the parties.

4

Mediation Sessions & Agreement

We facilitate productive conversations where both parties work toward mutually agreeable solutions. Our therapeutic approach ensures everyone feels heard and respected, and that the causes of ongoing conflict and distrust are identified and mitigated, if not altogether eliminated. We'll help you draft your paperwork and ultimately draft a Mediated Settlement Agreement (MSA) for you. Due to our countless years of experience, we help you know what issues need to be considered and resolved that inexperienced litigants commonly don't think of.

5

Finalization & Ongoing Support

We help you prepare and file all the necessary paperwork to turn your MSA into a court-approved binding Final Order, or when God's providence allows, a Motion to Dismiss your pleadings. Either way, your case is resolved without litigation. We also provide ongoing coaching to help you maintain your commitment to your agreement(s) and build healthy co-parenting patterns for your children's future.

Average Timeline: 8-12 weeks from start to signed agreement

Your Mediator: Barrett Thomas

Barrett Thomas, Certified Mediator

Attorney • Certified Mediator • Counseling Graduate Student

Barrett brings 15+ years of legal experience to the mediation table. He knows what family law cases turn on and how to acquire cooperation in line with what the Court is likely to do anyway. Prior to that, he learned about human behavior and conflict resolution as a police officer, including training in crisis intervention. He spent years as a prosecutor, most of which were dedicated to crimes against women and children. He knows how to deal with trauma and cases involving family violence. In 2025, he left traditional litigation after feeling called by God to help families resolve disputes peacefully through mediation for the sake of their children and own mental health.

As a divorced co-parent himself, Barrett personally understands the challenges you're facing and knows there's a better path than courtroom battles. It is a path he's walked himself successfully. He can help you do the same.

Common Questions About Family Mediation

What if my spouse won't agree to mediation?

Mediation requires both parties to participate voluntarily. However, many spouses are receptive once they learn about the cost savings, speed, and conflict reduction. We have brought many initially skeptical clients to the mediation table. Let us see if we can help.

How much does mediation v. divorce cost?

We require a single $3,500 retainer to begin. The average retainer for most law firms is $5,000 per person or side. That means we start off $6,500 less, and the savings increase from there. Traditional contested divorces can cost anywhere from $25,000-$200,000 per person. Our clients rarely pay more than $7,500 in the most complex and contested cases.

Is the agreement legally binding?

Yes. Once approved by the court, your Mediated Settlement Agreement will become a binding Final Order with full legal force—just as valid as a trial verdict, but without the trial trauma.

What types of cases do you handle?

We mediate all family law matters: divorces, custody modifications, child support, property division, and co-parenting disputes. Whether starting fresh or modifying an existing order, we can help.

Do I need to be Christian?

Absolutely not. While founded on Christian principles, we welcome all families regardless of faith, race, religion, sexual orientation, or background. Our process works for anyone committed to peaceful resolution. Our mission is to simply to demonstrate Christ's love for you in the way we help you handle your problem.

How long does mediation take?

Most mediations resolve in weeks or months— as opposed to traditional litigation that can last 1-2 years. Moreover, most courts require mediation anyway, so you are not out anything by trying to resolve your case privately first before you hire an attorney. You control the timeline based on your availability and how quickly you reach agreements.
